On 1st April 2005, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Awang was appointed as an Alliance Islamic Bank Berhad Shariah Committee (SC) Member. Dr. Abdul Rahman brings with him over 30 years of experience in Islamic Law, having worked in various universities in Malaysia. He is currently attached to the Department of Law, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) as an Associate Professor.

With such credentials, and experiences, Dr. Abdul Rahman has been highly sought after to attend, present, and speak in numerous conferences that are related to his specialized field of Islamic Law around the world. He has also made several appearances in television programs on Malaysian national television as a speaker and panelist, regarding Islamic Law issues.

Dr. Abdul Rahman possesses a Ph.D in Islamic Law from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. Prior to that, he has obtained a Master of Laws (Comparative Laws) from Temple University, Philadelphia, USA and a Shariah and Law Degree from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt.

En. Zaharudin was appointed as Shariah Committee (SC) member of Alliance Islamic Bank Berhad on 1st April 2009, replacing Prof. Dr. Zainal Azam. He is currently an Associate Researcher at International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA). Prior to joining ISRA, he was a Shariah Consultant for IFFIN Planner Sdn. Bhd.

En. Zaharudin obtained his Masters on Islamic Economy and Jurisprudence from the University of Cairo, Egypt (excellent, graduated in top 10). He has also obtained a Bachelor in Islamic Jurisprudence from Al-Azhar University Cairo, graduating 1st amongst all foreign students.

Furthermore, En. Zaharudin has written several books and articles related to his specialized field of Islamic Jurisprudence. He has since published five more field-related books.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Badruddin was appointed as Shariah Committee (SC) member on 15th June 2009, replacing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Sabri Wan Yusof. His current appointment is as Head of the Department of Islamic Law, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Law (AIKOL), International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). While Dr. Badruddin specializes in the Islamic Law of Trust, and Islamic Law of Property, he is also experienced in Islamic Jurisprudence and Islamic Family Law, having taught such subjects in IIUM for over a decade.

As an academia, Dr. Badruddin has actively pursued his thirst for knowledge by conducting many research activities under IIUM, his most recent being a paper regarding "Children Rights to Maintenance: The Extent of Family Responsibility Under Islamic Law." Much of his work has been presented publicly in academic institutions and conferences in Malaysia, the UK, and Indonesia. In recent years, Dr. Badruddin has channeled his expertise and passion into organizing a myriad of Islamic Law-related conferences, conventions, and seminars.

He possesses a Ph.D in Islamic Law of Trust, Islamic Law of Property from IIUM, Gombak. His Masters and Degree of Shariah and Law were obtained from the International Islamic University (IIU) of Islamabad, Pakistan.
