The core business of Hire Purchase is to provide financing to customers to purchase passenger/commercial vehicles from franchised dealers, authorised dealers and panel used car dealers.

  • Individual aged 18 and above. If an individual is below 21 or above 55 years old, an acceptable Malaysian Guarantor is required.
  • Proprietorship and partnership registered in Malaysia.

  • Place of Incorporation must be in Malaysia.
  • Legal business with regular and sufficient income to meet current liabilities.
  • Business of > 2 years in operation, or if less than 2 years in business, principal owner must have at least 2 years experience in related field/business.

A guarantor may be required in the event that the credit evaluation shows that a guarantor is need to substantiate the application.

  • New & Unregistered Reconditioned vehicles preferably of popular models.
  • Used vehicles of preferably of popular models up to 10 years old.

  • Photocopy of identity card (both sides) of applicant and guarantor(s) (if any).
  • Latest salary slips or
  • Latest EA form or
  • Borang B/BE with tax receipt or
  • Copies of the latest 3 months’ bank statements or updated savings passbook (if any) and
  • Photocopy of applicant’s driving license
Limited Companies
  • Certified true copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association
  • Certified true copy of Form 24 (Shares issued and authorised share capital)
  • Certified true copy of Form 49 (Names and details of all directors and company secretary)
  • Certified true copy of the extract of the Director’s Resolution
  • Photocopy of the Certificate of Incorporation (Form 9 and 13 if any)
  • Photocopy of the Certificate of Commencement of Business (Form 23 if any)
  • Latest copies of the Audited Accounts (if applicable)
  • Bankers’ references (latest three months’ bank statements)
  • Brief comments of director’s experience, exposure and financial standing and
  • Photocopy of guarantor’s identity card (both sides)
Partnership and Proprietorships (additional documents are required):
  • Photocopy of the Certificate of Business Registration and Borang D
  • Partnership Agreement (if any)
  • Latest copies of the Financial Accounts (if applicable)
  • Bankers’ references (latest three months’ bank statements)
  • Brief comments on sole proprietor or partners’ experience, exposure and financial standing and
  • Photocopy of sole proprietor or partners’ identity card (both side).
  • The profit rate on this financing is fixed and remains unchanged for the whole tenure of the financing
  • As a guide, your monthly financial obligation should not exceed one third (1/3) of your monthly household income. You should also budget for other payment associated with owning a car, such as insurance / takaful, road tax and expenses for petrol, repairs and periodical maintenance.
  • Under a Hire Purchase-i Agreement, the Bank has the right to repossess a motor vehicle after there has been two (2) successive defaults of the installment payment or a defaults in respect of the last installment payment by the Hirer.

3. Rental Income - Stamped Tenancy Agreement OR Bank Statement to show latest 6 months rental credit.
Code of Ethics on Repossession
  1. As far as possible the number of authorised repossessors must be minimized unless circumstances warrant any additional assistance.
  2. Repossessors should only gain entry into premises with the knowledge and consent of the occupant.
  3. Repossessors should be well mannered and dress decently. They should ensure the practise of professionalism and dignity in carrying out their work.
  4. The use of "strong arm tactics" of any kind is strictly prohibited in the performance of their work.
  5. At the time of repossession, the repossessors should give a standard notice to the hirer informing him/her of the following:
    • The address and telephone number of the finance company and the authorized officers he/she can contact immediately to resolve any problem.
    • The repossessors must give a reasonable time to the hirer to inspect the vehicle and remove his personal items and belongings.
  6. As far as possible, repossession should be undertaken in the presence of the hirer or any person authorised to that car.
  7. Repossessors should at all times act in accordance with the laws and regulations in the performance of their works.
  8. All repossessors should be given and briefed on the Code of Ethics On Repossession and abide by its terms. They should also observe any other Code of Ethics introduced by the Association of Hire Purchase Companies Malaysia, the Association of Finance Companies of Malaysia and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs from time to time.
